CHILD SAFETY POLICY
As of December 23rd, 2014 for safety reasons and insurance purposes, no child under the age of 12 may be in the salon (waiting area, front desk, break room, spa area, shampoo area, hall way or restrooms) UNATTENDED while a parent is having a service or while a stylist is working.
We write this notice with the utmost respect to all parents and understand that this can be a sensitive issue. Moving forward, we will be implementing a new policy regarding children and their presence in the salon. We feel as a business, children who visit the salon during their parents’ appointments or with stylists while working who are unattended pose a safety issue. We work in an environment that has sharp scissors, razors, chemicals, and hot curling and flat irons. If something were to happen to your child, it would not only be devastating to you and your family, it would be equally as devastating to us. We do not have the facilities or space to care for children. We love children, and we hope you understand that we cannot assure their safety in a professional salon environment. We also do not want to compromise the relaxation of our guests. Your understanding is greatly appreciated.
Stylists: We strive to create a professional, relaxing environment for our clients and stylists. We ask that all children, family and friends not spend extended periods of time in the salon. We ask that everyone acknowledge that we have limited space for stylists, staff and clients only. We welcome family, friends and supervised children in the salon to have a service or to stop by for a short visit. Your understanding is greatly appreciated.
